

Wilderness First Responder - 76 hours
Wilderness First Responder is a 76 hour intensive course for Wilderness Professionals and others who want a higher level of training or require WFR certification for employment.
This is the industry standard course for recreational trip leaders, SAR Personnel and guides. Skills training is intensive with many role-playing wilderness accident scenarios. This is a challenging class that will test your problem solving ability. Our class enrollment is regulated to make sure that we have a high instructor to student ratio.
This course includes Emergency Oxygen, Epi-Pen / TwinJect modules, and CPR PRO with AED
Course Instructors for this course are chosen because of their experience as outdoor healthcare professionals and leaders. Examples of our instructors are EMTs, Paramedics and Nurses. They also have a background in National Ski Patrol, Search & Rescue, Guiding and long term patient care.
Upon successful completion of this course you will receive:
» WFR course certification card from ASHI valid for 3 years
» Certificate of Completion from TrailMed Wilderness Medicine
» Emergency Oxygen completion card from ASHI
» CPR PRO course certification card from ASHI valid for 2 years
Prerequisite: None
Tuition: $575.00 includes all text books, lab fees and handouts.
Onsite WFR courses at your location will be customized around your teams needs, environment, and gear.
